We’ve reimagined what a fire pit can be. Meet the Anvil™, a DIY steel fire pit kit! The portable Anvil Fire Pit is designed to have the room to cook over the fire for the whole family, while still keeping the innovative ability to collapse afterwards, perfect for storing and taking it on the go. Made with 7 gauge steel, The Anvil has a heavy duty build but easily slides together in 4 separate pieces to make one beautiful fire pit! The Anvil has 24 total air slots, with the option for stainless steel Secondary Combustion Attachments to minimize smoke output and create a more relaxing environment (see Available Options). The Anvil is made out of Corten steel so it will age into a beautiful patina, but resists corrosion unlike regular carbon steel. Complete with ergonomic hand grips on each side, it’s just as easy to move it and pack away as it is to put together!

We have partnered with BBQ Nation to bring you an elite starter kit for your grilling needs! The Grill Master Starter Kit includes three (3) 16oz rubs, one (1) 16oz Northwest Sweet & Tangy BBQ Sauce, one (1) set of BPA-free Kodiak Claw meat shredders, two (2) meat temperature indoor magnets, and one (1) BBQ recipe e-book. The rubs are Bird, Cow, and Pig. Pretty simple right? Our favorite is the Pig with the touch of brown sugar and cinnamon. Add Urban Fire Secondary Combustion™ Attachment Set – Additional $115.00
Includes 4 stainless steel attachments that covers air slots on all 4 sides, leaving 4 exposed on each end for additional air to feed your fire. The air pulled in to the attachment gets super heated. When it is expelled through the holes at the top of the attachment, providing the top of the flames with a fresh air source, the smoke is reignited, thinning it out. This creates a cleaner atmosphere around your fire. They also protect those slots from leaking or getting clogged by ashes. The trapezoid attachments also help minimize bowing of the steel as it expands and contracts with the heat.
Add Urban Fire™ Rectangle Cooking Grate Grill – Additional $59.00
Transform your fire pit into a grill! The cooking grate for the Anvil has a cooking area of 15″ x 16″ with a total length of 26″. Made out of 2 and 10 gauge Stainless Steel with 0.625″ spacing, and complete with 4″ handles on each end, this cooking grate fits perfectly along the width and length of the Anvil. It is also fully compatible with the Farrier.
Add Urban Fire™ Adjustable Swivel Grill with Bracket – Additional $169.00
Transform your fire pit into a grill! The cooking grate for the Anvil has a cooking area of 20″ x 20″. Made out of Stainless Steel with 5/8″ spacing, this kit includes the cooking grate, 20″ grill pole, stainless steel knob, two thumb screws and a wing nut, and a grill stake. The pole secures to the hand grip using the Urban Fire™ Grill Bracket and a thumb screw through a hole on the back panel. Fully adjustable vertically and horizontally, this grill will have your neighbors peeking over the fence!
Graphite Edition – $559.00
The Graphite Edition will give you a vintage, steampunk look. It comes right off the machine and right into the box. The Corten steel will begin to patina as shown in the above product photos. Corten is an alloy of carbon steel and copper, allowing it to patina, but not rust. Every Anvil will be unique! (Currently out of stock)
Carbon Edition- $669.00
After the machining process, the raw Corten steel will be cleaned and prepped, then coated in a high temp black powder coat. The powder coat may burn off over time. Scratches will oxidize and the exterior will wear and show character over time. Any exposed Corten steel will begin to patina as shown in the above product photos.
CAN YOU PUT A FIRE PIT ON A WOOD DECK OR GRASS?
Because of the heat generated underneath the firepit and the possibility of fallen embers, it is not safe to place a fire pit directly on a wood deck. Grass is not ideal for a fire pit, as it is likely to burn and kill your grass. It’s best to set a portable fire pit atop a fire-resistant surface such as a fireproof mat, pavers, or bricks.
HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY FIRE PIT? WILL THE PAINT LAST?
The paint on the interior of your fire pit may burn off within your first few burns. The paint on the exterior of your fire pit may bubble or chip with time as it wears against the elements. You can maintain your fire pit by lightly sanding any spots showing rust or missing paint. You can then use any color high-temp spray paint to touch up your fire pit to keep it looking great!
DOES URBAN FIRE HAVE A WARRANTY FOR FIRE PITS?
Our fire pits in the Urban Fire Collection have a 5 year limited warranty. We do offer replacement parts on all of our fire pits which makes fixing any issue a breeze!
